Nursing Informatics Salary West Virginia 2014
Below we see the low salary average, the median salary average and the high salary average for nursing informatics positions across different cities in West Virginia.
As explained in my previous post, these averages tend to be lower than what the 2014 HIMSS survey portrays, but yet, these are the type of averages that are more in line with what I see when I’m out implementing projects across the USA.
Looking at the graph below we can see that the low average nursing informatics salary in West Virginia hovers around 53k.
The median average is around 67k, while the high average is around 83k.
This means that if you’re an entry level informatics nurse in West Virginia, or in other words, you have no experience in the field, there is a high probability that your salary might revolve about the median average salary for West Virginia. Possibly a bit higher, but many times, it can also be below the median average.
Also, as I have explained in previous posts: salary depends on experience, location, type of system being implemented and even job title. And indeed, exceptions always exist, and thus the chance that a new candidate got hired a high salary might happen, but that is always the exception to the rule.
But just because the HIMSS survey says that the average salary in nursing informatics is close to 101k, doesn’t mean you’ll go out and start making this type of salary on your first job.
